Teaching & TA Open Positions - The Ranches Academy is currently accepting applications for Teaching and TA open positions. Please click on the "Careers" link up above.
Enrollment Applications for 2008-2009 School Year - applications are now being taken for the 2008-09 school year. Click on the enrollment button to the left to access the online application and for more information. If you have previously applied and would like to apply for this next year, you will need to fill out a new application. The school can not carry-over applications from the previous year.
**The Ranches Academy enrollment process does not discriminate against any student for any reason (i.e., disabilities, students wtih I.E.P.'s, special educational needs, etc) and follows the Utah State Office of Education's state laws concerning enrollment and the application process. All students are welcomed to apply.**
Middle School Students - The Ranches Academy has amended 7th and 8th grade from their school and transferred those grades over to Rockwell Charter High School. Those students wishing to enroll for 7th or 8th grade may submit an application to Rockwell by clicking here. For more information about Rockwell Charter High School go to www.rockwellhigh.net.
ANNOUNCING ROCKWELL CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL - the State Charter School Board approved the creation of the new charter high school. The high school will open August 2008. Rockwell Charter High School's webpage is www.rockwellhigh.net.
Ill/Sick Children - Please keep your child home if they are experiencing any illness or sickness as to prevent it from spending to other children. Please send your child with his/her own waterbottle to help keep everybody healthy! If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. Beck.

Book Fair - May 13-15th. Come support the school with the Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair! The fair will be held in the school gym from 8 am - 3:30 pm).
Teacher Appreciation Week - May 19th, more details will be sent home soon.
Memorial Day Break - Friday, May 23 is an early-out day, with PM Kindergarten attending. Students may wear jeans with blue/white/red shirts. Monday, May 26 is a no school day.
6th Grade Promotion - May 28th, more details will be sent home soon.
8th Grade Promotion Breakfast - May 29th
Last Week of School - Early out each day the last week of school with AM Kindergarten attending 5/27 and PM Kindergarten attending 5/28. Both kindergarten classes attend on 5/29 for graduation picnic.
Last Day of School - May 30th. Non-uniform day (Appropriate shirts, shorts, and pants allowed)
Report Cards - will be sent home by June 6th.
First Day of School for 2008 - Monday, August 18th! See you next year!

School Council Meetings - The Ranches
Academy will hold regular School Council meetings, open
to the public, on the first Thursday evening of
each month from 7-8 PM. We invite all to attend.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the next scheduled meeting is for Thursday,
June 5, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
in the school gym. The agenda is usually posted 1-2 days before the meeting .

Family School Organization (FSO)Meetings
- The Ranches Academy will hold regular FSO Board
meetings, open to the public. The meeting will be held every 3rd Monday of the month at 1:30 in the library. We invite
all the school families to attend!
Enrollment - Open enrollment period for the 2008-2009 school year will be from October 1, 2007 until December 15, 2007. Anyone applying after the December 15th deadline will be put into a second lottery pool, which will be used after the first lottery pool has been exhausted. The school will continue the lottery process as enrollment spaces open up until September 31, 2008. If you have any questions, please contact Julie at 789-4000 or jbell@theranchesacademy.com.

The Family School Organization (FSO) is our parental
support system for our school. All school families
belong to this organization and all have one vote
in all school voting matters. The FSO is in charge
of events such as the school play, Red Ribbon
Week, Reflections, etc. Click

School Hours - School hours
are Monday through Friday 8:15 am to 2:45 pm.
AM Kindergarten hours are from 8:15 -11:00 am.
PM Kindergarten hours are from 12:00-2:45pm. Students
should not be dropped off until 8:00 am
as we do not have the facilities or personnel
to provide needed attention any earlier. If your
student is late, please have them sign in at the
front office. Also, if your need to check your
student out early, please fill the Sign-out sheet
at the front office.
Car Pool Information - If you
would like the list of parents who are interested
in carpooling, please send your request to jbell@theranchesacademy.com.
Drop Off/Pick Up - PLEASE follow
the lanes of traffic through the parking lot at
drop off and pick up. The parking lot is a one-way
lot. Please follow the directional arrows. We
want to make sure our students are safe!!! If
you have any questions concerning this, please
contact Mr. Beck at dbeck@theranchesacademy.com.
Web Page - We will be maintaining
the webpage regularly and invite the parents to
check it frequently! If you have something that
needs to be posted, please send an email to jmaroney@theranchesacademy.com.
Volunteer Opportunities - the
school board has appointed a parent who will be
the school's Volunteer Coordinator. Her name is
Paula Beck. She will be calling all the families
during the year to help out with various volunteer
opportunities. Please help us in keeping the costs
down for our school by volunteering in various
ways! Paula can be reached at volunteercoordinator@theranchesacademy.com.
You can email your volunteer hours to volunteerhours@theranchesacademy.com
or sign them in at the volunteer book at the
front office. We will still be posting various
volunteer opportunities during the school year
on the web! Just as a reminder: each family is
asked to volunteer 40 hours each school year.
Family Resource Book - This
resource book includes policies and procedures
as well as a school year calendar among other
things we all need to know. If you did not receive
one, please contact Julie at jbell@theranchesacademy.com.
Box Tops/Labels for Education/Cream of
Weber Caps - Don't forget to save these
lables or tops. Put all of your box tops/labels/milk
caps in one single zip top baggie with your child's
name on it for the drawing. In the lobby there
are boxes to drop these off. Also, please make
sure you are signed up for Smith's Earn and Learn
program using your Smith's Rewards Card. Any questions,
